Readiness for the next step after high school - College, Career, or Military - is the culmination of a K-12 culture of high expectations, opportunities to engage in challenging coursework, and career exploration.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has identified specific ways that a student can demonstrate readiness for college, career, and military experience beyond high school. CISD strives for each graduate to meet at least one of the College, Career & Military Readiness (CCMR) indicators below through high school programming.
CISD recognizes that these TEA indicators represent a narrow definition and measure of readiness. We believe that students are much more than a test score. The wealth of experiences provided in CISD prepares students to be collaborators, critical thinkers, and problem solvers ready to confidently take their next step after graduation.
